Terms of Use
For the Hellobruno app. Last updated: 3 October 2026.
This is a translation. If the two versions differ, the German version applies.
1. Scope
These terms apply to the use of the Hellobruno app (the “app”), provided by René Brunotte, Hernalser Hauptstraße 47, 1170 Vienna, Austria (“we”), see Imprint. By signing in to the app you accept these terms. How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
2. What Hellobruno is
Hellobruno is an app for planning trips alone or with others: itinerary, costs, chat, polls, lists, documents, photos and map. It is free to use. The app is currently in a test phase (beta); features may change, be added or be removed.
3. Your account
- You sign in with your email address, with Apple, with Google or as a guest. A guest account is only accessible on your device until you add an email address.
- You are responsible for access to your account and don't share sign-in codes.
- Your username must not infringe anyone's rights and must not be offensive or misleading.
- You must be at least 14 years old or have your parents' consent.
4. Your content
- What you create or upload in the app (text, photos, documents, etc.) remains yours. You grant us only the rights needed to store and process it and to show it to the people you share it with.
- You only upload content you are entitled to, and nothing unlawful, offensive, discriminatory or harmful.
- When you invite people to a trip or add them as placeholders, please only enter the information about them that is needed.
- Content you share with a trip is visible to all members of that trip. If you delete your account, shared content stays for the others, anonymised (see Delete account).
5. Fair use, reporting and blocking
Please don't use the app to harass, monitor or spy on others, and don't try to disrupt or overload it or access other people's data. Hellobruno has no tolerance for offensive, harassing, hateful, sexual or illegal content, or for users who abuse others.
- Reporting: you can report other people's chat messages, documents and photos, and profiles, in the app (long-press a message, the flag on a document, “…” on a profile, or when declining a request). You can also report illegal content to [email protected]; please tell us what it is, where to find it and why it is illegal.
- Blocking: people you block can no longer find you or send you requests or invitations, and you no longer see their chat messages. The list is under Settings → Blocked users.
- What we do: we look at every report within 24 hours. If content breaks these terms or the law, we remove it and may suspend or delete the account responsible. Reports are reviewed by a person, not automatically, and we tell the person concerned what we removed and why (where we can reach them and the law allows it). If you disagree with a decision, write to the same address.
- Point of contact for users and authorities (Arts. 11 and 12 Digital Services Act): [email protected], in German or English.
6. Planning aids without guarantee
Cost splits, exchange rates, weather, flight data, places and maps are aids for planning. Some come from third parties and may be incomplete or out of date. Please check important information (e.g. departure times, entry requirements, amounts) with the original source.
7. Availability
We do our best to keep the app working reliably but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Please keep important documents (e.g. tickets) somewhere else as well.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for personal injury. We are not liable for property damage or financial loss caused through slight negligence, to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
9. Termination
You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account in the app. We may discontinue the app or individual features; if so, we will let you know in good time so you can save your content.
10. Changes
We may update these terms if the app or the law changes. We will inform you about significant changes in advance. If you continue to use the app afterwards, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.
11. Governing law
Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections of the country where you habitually reside remain unaffected.
